Ecopsychology
Since my training as a nature and forest therapy guide in New Zealand and my return to Europe, ecopsychology has played a vital role in my personal and professional life. Until today I had the privilege to train and certify over 600 people (from different professions such as doctors, psychologists, therapists, business coaches and other wellness professionals) in Nature-based interventions to improve mental health and human functioning. I also had the opportunity to conduct a large clinical study on the medical health benefits of nature connection practices.
In addition to these trainings and research activities, I still find deep joy in simply going with a group of people into nature such as forests, orchards or mountains and giving them a "one-off taster experience" of eco-psychological practices. Such interventions only take a couple of hours but can already yield considerable wellbeing benefits.
